The event takes place on a main route that goes from Siena to Acquapendente with departure from Siena on Saturday morning and arrival in Acquapendente on Sunday, passing through the following places: Grancia di Cuna (Monteroni d’Arbia), Ponte d’Arbia, Buonconvento, Torrenieri (Montalcino), San Quirico d’Orcia, Gallina (Castiglione d’Orcia), Radicofani, Ponte a Rigo (San Casciano dei Bagni), Proceno.

Along this route there are three different partial sections:

Siena Buonconvento SB of about 35 km departure from Siena on Saturday morning
Buonconvento San Quirico BSQ of about 20 km departure from Buonconvento on Saturday afternoon
Siena San Quirico SSQ of about 55 km departing from Siena on Saturday morning
San Quirico Acquapendente SQA about 65 km departure from San Quirico in the late evening of Saturday.
There will be a 35 km stretch from Abbadia San Salvatore to Acquapendente ASA with departure on Sunday morning. It descends along the valley of the Paglia River up to Ponte a Rigo where we reconnect with the main route to Proceno and Acquapendente.
There will be a short stretch from Campiglia d’Orcia to Radicofani on Saturday afternoon for 15 km with the possibility to see the views of the Val d’Orcia in the light.
